The story of my life interesting enough, my life began on a Thursday night, on 24th April, 2007 in Thimphu hospital, where I was delivered at 12;00am to my mother, Nim Dem and father, Chundu. I was the third child for my father and the first child for my mother. I just didn't know anybody or where I would end up in my life after that moment. As I grew up, my life changed at each milestone in a person life. I had a rough and very fun childhood.
I remember playing outside with my friends and my sister, eating around the dinning with my family and sleeping with my grandfather until I was five years old. For my grandmother she passed away when I was one years old. My life was filled with more great memories than the bad, even though we lived in a poverty.
Journey of my primary school
I joined my primary school at the age of five at Genekha lower Secondary School under Geney Gewog, Thimphu Dzongkhag in 2012. I'm glad to be the student of that school as the school was fascinated with beautiful surrounding and with great facilities. The story of my enchanting memories revolves around my school of junior years.
It was such a hardship that I had to wake up early in the morning, get fresh up, wear school uniform on my on. But still then I managed to follow up the rules and regulation. Rarely my parents would come to meet me but I never give myself a chance to miss my family as I was focused on the growth of my intellectual capacity. Due to lockdown I had to study my 8th grade at my home through internet and as time passed and I had completed my primary school.

In the realm of education, the debate between boarding schools and day scholar schools has been ongoing. While both options have their merits, boarding schools offer unique advantages, especially for students in grade 12. Boarding schools provide an immersive learning environment, foster independence and self-discipline, and offer unparalleled academic support, all of which contribute to the holistic development of students.
Firstly, boarding schools provide an immersive learning environment that fosters academic excellence. Grade 12 is a crucial year for students as they prepare for college admissions and standardized tests. In a boarding school setting, students are fully immersed in an environment conducive to learning. With dedicated study hours, access to resources, and the absence of distractions, students can focus wholeheartedly on their academic pursuits. Moreover, the close-knit community of boarding schools encourages collaboration and intellectual curiosity, enhancing the overall learning experience.
Secondly, boarding schools promote independence and self-discipline, essential qualities for success in college and beyond. Living away from home necessitates that students take responsibility for their actions and manage their time effectively. Grade 12 students in boarding schools learn valuable life skills such as time management, decision-making, and conflict resolution. These skills not only contribute to academic success but also prepare students for the challenges of adulthood.
Furthermore, boarding schools offer unparalleled academic support and extracurricular opportunities. In a boarding school environment, students have access to experienced teachers and mentors round the clock. Whether it's seeking clarification on complex concepts or receiving guidance on college applications, students benefit from personalized attention and support. Additionally, boarding schools offer a wide range of extracurricular activities, from sports to arts to community service, allowing students to explore their interests and talents beyond the classroom.
Critics of boarding schools often cite concerns about homesickness and lack of family support. However, with advancements in technology, staying connected with family has become easier than ever. Video calls, messaging apps, and social media platforms enable students to maintain close relationships with their families while still enjoying the benefits of boarding school education.
In conclusion, boarding school education offers numerous advantages for grade 12 students, including an immersive learning environment, fostering independence and self-discipline, and providing unparalleled academic support. While day scholar schools have their merits, the unique opportunities and experiences offered by boarding schools make them a compelling choice for students seeking academic excellence and personal growth in grade 12 and beyond.
