The Lotus and the Mountain

Once upon a time in the beautiful  valleys of Bhutan, there lived a young monk named Tashi. Tashi was known for his kindness and gentle nature, but he carried a heavy burden in his heart. His village was plagued by a terrible drought, and the crops were withering away.

One day, as Tashi meditated by a tranquil pond, he heard a soft voice calling out to him. Startled, he opened his eyes to find a beautiful lotus flower floating on the water. The lotus spoke to him, revealing itself as a mystical guardian of the land.

"The land is suffering, Tashi," the lotus said. "But there is hope. Seek out the sacred mountain of Gangkhar Puensum, where the ancient spirits reside. Only there will you find the key to bring water back to our land."

Determined to save his village, Tashi embarked on a journey to find Gangkhar Puensum. He traveled through dense forests, crossed rushing rivers, and climbed towering cliffs. Along the way, he encountered challenges and obstacles, but his faith never wavered.

After many days of arduous travel, Tashi finally reached the base of Gangkhar Puensum. He began his ascent, climbing higher and higher until he reached a secluded cave at the mountain's summit. There, he met an old hermit who welcomed him with warmth and wisdom.

The hermit revealed to Tashi the secret of the mountain—a hidden spring that flowed with pure, life-giving water. Tashi collected the water in a sacred vessel and carried it back to his village.

As he poured the water onto the parched earth, a miracle occurred. The land blossomed once more, and the crops flourished abundantly. The villagers rejoiced, and Tashi was hailed as a hero.

From that day on, Tashi continued to serve his community with compassion and humility. And whenever he meditated by the pond, he would offer a silent prayer of gratitude to the lotus and the sacred mountain that had blessed him with their guidance.

                                            thank you!!!!
