Introduction & Childhood
On 18th July 2004, I was born and one of the lama set my name as Tashi Dorji Rai. It is said by my parents that with my birth, joy and jester was filled in small house of remote village namely Sengdhyen. I still remember my silly childhood spend with my friend Akash. we use to steal cucumber and run away for timing but at evening we had to face lots of lecture and beating from parents.
LOWER SCHOOLING
2009 my first journey of schooling started from Sengdhyen Lower Secondary School and I can still remember elder brothers carrying me on their back while going school. I can't clearly remember how I passed and reach class 4. I can remember 4 moments because I failed in class 4 and I learn many new knowledge like facing criticism, failure doesn't mean the end and again I repeat class 4 and I was able to hold 6th position and for the first time I knew about position and percentage in my life. likewise, I completed my lower school as a day-scholar.
HIGH SCHOOLING
In the year 2019 I experienced boarding school for the first time in Dorokha Higher Secondary School. It was not an easy for me because I was experiencing boarding life for the first time. My best person in the world which is equivalent to god we commonly call her as 'mother' dropped me in school and I can still remember the tears on her eyes indicating unconditional love and care towards me. Being boarder student learn many new thing and inculcate many new skills as well. In boarding school choosing right friends is important. How ever I passed my first year of boarding life.
In 2020 I was graduated from class 9 to 10 and it was a tough year for me because I was going to face the board exam for the first time. But no sooner the school started corona virus (COVID19) arise and we were send to house for break. Nearly after 2 month we class 10 and 12 return to school. After that our education flow changed, we had only few period a day and we were in very less number which was comfortable to study. After few month again schedule changed and we had only 15 minute session before and after lunch and 2 hour for games and sport. It went on till February end. Finally in March 3rd our board exam started and I was able to score a 67.81 % in board exam. My family was happy but I was not satisfied with my marks.
After that I again prefer to study in Dorokha only and I continued my study. As a saying goes life is not a bed of rose problem arise when I was in class 12. I felt so sad for my fortune I blamed my faith but I didn't had any other option and I dropped the school because of my family problem.
LIFE AS A LABOR
After dropping the school I stayed at home for 1 month. Than I went for temporary job and start earning and I supported my family as much as I could. For the two years I worked as a labor and it was very tough time for me. That time I realized how life is and how much life is tough. But I was very happy because I could help my parents and support my younger sister and I was able to take my roles and responsibility of being eldest son of my family.
AGAIN BACK TO HIGH SCHOOLING LIFE
This year, I have joined the family of Wangbama Central School which is under Thimphu Dzongkhag. I am admitted in this school as the member of 12 commerce.
At the beginning it was hard for me to get adapt to this place as I knew no one but later on as we started knowing each other, I could make many friends and know many students. Gradually I started liking this school and the members.
Now I have one goal in my life and that is to study well and serve my family and my country.
